Because I got out of the habit of posting while the computer was down, I am back to posting rubbish still lifes taken in a rush at last minute.  Here is a banana before I butchered it to put in my custard this evening.

Here is today’s picture.  It’s something I have been meaning to do for a while but I finally got round to it tonight.  I’m quite pleased with it actually, it looks pretty good I think.  Nothing much to write about today, so I’ll just post the picture and leave it at that.

I couldn’t think of anything to take a picture of today, and I’m starting to find this a bit of a chore because I can’t get out to take decent pictures and I’m sick of poor lighting and still lifes and coming up with something ten minutes before I go to bed just for the sake of making an entry. Must try harder.

Anyway today’s picture is of my shoes that Mat bought me for Christmas.  I love them.  They’ve blistered my feet to heck and back, but I totally love them.  Here they are:

As previously mentioned, Mat and I went to Asda yesterday.  While we were there I bought some sweeties :-)   And since then I have been steadily accelerating the rate of decay for my poor teeth because I opened one of the (thankfully small) bags and couldn’t leave them be!  So I’ve been ‘grazing’ on them most of yesterday and today.  Here are the offending little buggers – Sherbert Teddies:

Today I went to get the girls measured for their bridesmaid dresses.  The bridal shop was incredibly busy but they did as much as they could to help us which was lovely.  Came home, read some of my book, then went to do the food shop for the week.  Tonight I watched AI with Mat, and despite the rain outside being quite a distraction, really enjoyed it and cried lots at the end!!

Today’s picture is my own simulated raindrops (well water hitting other water actually):

Today after my driving lesson, Mat and I went in to Middlesbrough to collect our wedding rings.  So, I figured they’d make a good still life for today’s image.  However, as is customary for wedding photographers, a funky still life of the rings is always better than a picture of them in their boxes or on people’s fingers.  So, here they are:  (Take that, Flickr-ites!)

This is the entry for Jan 17th.  Yesterday my computer decided to go kaputt and would not turn on except in safe mode, meaning I couldn’t deal with my photos I took for yesterday’s entry.  I tried to upload them from the other computer but it dodnes’t have the right software to deal with my CR2 files.  Anyway, here is the picture – continuing along the theme of long exposures and playing with light.  There will be another picture added later this evening, for today.

So, yesterday’s entry is not here.  I had computer issues so I couldn’t get my picture up yesterday.  As a result there are two pictures for you today.  I’m simply going to post these pictures because I’m very very tired after a rubbish day at work.

Yesterday’s Picture:

Here’s a vaguely interesting (in my opinion anyway) picture for you.

The reason I have a load of swatches isn’t anything to do with painting or redecorating or anything like that (I’m not that normal!) I went to collect them becuase I am going to have a meeting with a florist this week (I hope) to discuss flowers for me for the wedding.  As my dress is an unusual shade of an unusual colour, which doesn’t translate well into photographs, she suggested I get some swatches to give her a rough idea of the correct colour.  However, Mat was with me, so I had to get all different colours so he didn’t have any idea as to what colour my dress is. I quite like this picture, it looks a bit stock-photo to me.

I love tulips.  I think they’re the most beautiful, simple flower there is.  I’m hoping to have them in my wedding bouquet.  These were bought the same days as the roses I took a picture of earlier this week, and have started to open up now so they look lovely.  They’ve kept growing since I put them in the vase too – apparently (I only discovered this yesterday) tulips can keep growing after being cut by up to two inches!  There’s a bit of potentially useless trivia for you!
