I love tulips. I think they’re the most beautiful, simple flower there is. I’m hoping to have them in my wedding bouquet. These were bought the same days as the roses I took a picture of earlier this week, and have started to open up now so they look lovely. They’ve kept growing since I put them in the vase too – apparently (I only discovered this yesterday) tulips can keep growing after being cut by up to two inches! There’s a bit of potentially useless trivia for you!

Had a hectic day at work today. All of our stock went down to £1 today and we had a crazy busy day as a result. I tried to get up at 6 with Mat this morning but had a banging headache so went back to bed. Just as well really given how busy work was. I may have fallen asleep by 3 o’clock!
On the way home we went and bought some flowers from Tesco because we haven’t for ages, and I realised I could use them for today’s picture. I really enjoy taking pictures of flowers, I have lots and lots on my harddrives, and I got the same enjoyment from taking the pictures for tonight’s entry. So here it is:
Geeky Stuff: Focal Length 50mm, f5.6, 1/200 sec, iso 800
It was beatuiful and sunny earlier on and I was going to take a picture while the light was good and it was nice enough to go out for a walk. Instead, I went looking at cars with my dad, so I didn’t get chance to go for a walk. However, we have new life sprouting in our back garden! Ages ago we planted some bulbs in an old hanging basket hanging on a rusty bracket fixed to the wall. We can’t remember what they are! But now they are sprouting so soon we’ll find out! I’ll have to remember to post a picture when they turn into flowers.
Geeky Stuff: Taken again with my 18-55. F5.6, 1/13, focal length 43mm, iso 800. No flash.
