Today after my driving lesson, Mat and I went in to Middlesbrough to collect our wedding rings. So, I figured they’d make a good still life for today’s image. However, as is customary for wedding photographers, a funky still life of the rings is always better than a picture of them in their boxes or on people’s fingers. So, here they are: (Take that, Flickr-ites!)
50mm, f1.8, 1/50, iso 800, flash bounced off the ceiling. (The very tight DOF is intentional – it comes with using my 50mm wide open.)
This is the entry for Jan 17th. Yesterday my computer decided to go kaputt and would not turn on except in safe mode, meaning I couldn’t deal with my photos I took for yesterday’s entry. I tried to upload them from the other computer but it dodnes’t have the right software to deal with my CR2 files. Anyway, here is the picture – continuing along the theme of long exposures and playing with light. There will be another picture added later this evening, for today.
50mm, f10, 6sec, iso 400. Lit by a blue LED pointed at the balls of the cradle.
